Vladimir Joseph Harant was born on May 22nd, 1923 in Žebrák, Czechoslovakia to Bedřich Harant and Emma Jakubcová.
Vladimir is listed in the Registration of Foreigners and German Persecutees, 1939-1947. This registration comprises lists of persons drawn up by German authorities and administrative offices after the end of the war in connection with the Allied Forces' Orders, whose purpose was to obtain information on the fate of prisoners of war, forced laborers and refugees.
