Ruth Wudke

Ruth was my first cousin. I met her in my thirties.  My sister and I were elated to meet her as we only knew two other cousins. She had four Tallon uncles, my father Frank and his  brothers Charles, Thomas and William also ten Tallon cousins and many on the .Lynch side.  She and husband Herb lived in Glens Falls, NY for about ten years. They moved to Long Island shortly after my Aunt Ruth passed. Last time I talked to her was 1975, lost touch after that. Always wondered what happened to her.

I feel bad that she was buried in Potter's field with no one to mourn her.

I believe this is Ruth Margaret Tallon Wudke, my second cousin.  Ruth Conner and Felix Tallon were her parents..  Ruth was born on Aug 13, 1925, in Queens, NY.  She and her husband had no children.  Her grandparents were Otillie and John Ricard Conner.  Her ancestors were French and Irish and were good people.  Her 3d great grandfather, Jean Andre Ricard, was born in France and was a Lt in the French Navy.  He was also a doctor and traveled from Brookln to Savannah, GA, to help fight the Yellow Fever epidemic.  In the end he became another victim  Most of Ruth's family (Conner and Ricard) are buried in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn.  I've been looking for her for a number of years.  I'm glad we found her.  She will not be a forgotten person now.  RIP Ruth.
