Roland Jean St. Jules was born April 14, 1930, in Port Au Prince, Haiti, the son of Surin and Jeanne (Patry) St. Jules.
After coming to the United States, Roland lived for a time at 37 NW 61st Street in Miami, Florida, using the name Jean E. or Esperance J. St. Jules.
Roland became a citizen of the United States on September 12, 1979, in the U.S. District Court of New York City. He was then living at 201 West 87th Street in the Upper West Side neighborhood of New York City.
Roland St. Jules died June 3, 1992, and was buried on Hart Island.
