Monica Links

I found Monica's FB page, where she was active from 2010-2016. She spent most of her life in the Bronx, which is also where she passed away. She seems to have had a rough time early in life, as she wrote that she never graduated from junior high or high school. In 2011, she wrote that she was proud of having 18 months of sobriety, and she was also very proud of having gone back to school and graduated in August of that year. Other things she wrote about were having a BBQ with friends and attending the Gay Pride parade and being happy for her LGBT friends that things were easier for them now. She seems to have been single most of this time, but had godchildren and friends. In 2012, she fell in love with a truck driving man. Not long after writing about this, she stopped writing until 2016. It seems like she had spent time struggling with problems from her past, because she apologizes to friends and family about letting them down and not wanting them to see her at her worst. Her last entry expresses gratitude for another day to right wrongs and be better.  You can tell from her FB page that she had people who cared about her. Rest with the angels, Monica.
