Supplement to Martin Joseph Loder Jr. story: Martin was from a blue collar Buffalo background, born there 29 March 1947 and living at 258 Parkdale Ave and 407 Fox Street in that city. He entered the US Army 26 Nov 1969. I met him when also a soldier at Fort Dix, NJ and we quickly became very close friends; a sentiment that has never dimmed during my life. Sadly, although I lost contact with him by 1971, he was never forgotten by me, and it was not until 12 Mar 2018 that I discovered that he had died at St. Clare's Hospital, Manhattan, 13 Dec 1993, his body being unclaimed, and had been buried on Hart Island. He worked in MA, CT, NYC and in the Catkills 1970-1985 and his last residence was 74 W. 92nd St., NYC. He was a naturally bright, perceptive, introspective person who struggled during his youth but retained a youthful cheerfulness; he had an abundance of potential, not deserving of the sad and dejected period that marked the end of his precious life. Through much persistance and help/encouragement, including those persons associated with The Hart Island Project, his remains were exhumed on 04 Sep 2019 and moved to St. John (Lutheran) Cem, Cheektowaga, NY and there reburied on 16 Sep 2019, resting 8 rows in front of his mother, Jane L. Bieth (Loder) who had died in 1969. I am still searching for anyone who knew him 1971-1993; may he have in death the peace and love that must have mercilessly eluded him during life. His friend, Jack Hockett
