Mae Theis married my great uncle Ed Kind in 1970. After his death in 1984, my family lost contact with Mae. We never knew what happened to her. Now I know that she is sadly buried on Hart Island. She had no children and no family that we knew of, so there was likely no one to claim her after she passed away. Rest in peace Aunt Mae.
