Mable Laverne Woodard was the fifth child of Walter and Perlis Woodard. Her siblings are Lorenza Bernard Woodard, William Walton Woodard, Charles Wardell Woodard and sister, Sylvia Ann Woodard (Henderson). Mable was named after her paternal grandmother Mabel Woodard. She was born on March 28, 1959 and lived in Harlem New York. She lived at 53 and 67-69 Saint Nicholas Avenue. LaVerne attended Saint Thomas the Apostle School at a young age. She graduated high school and became a mother to 9 living children.
LaVerne will be truly missed by family and friends. However, we as family understand that she will be in pain no more. Rest my sweet Sister Rest ... until we meet again. Much love and affection.
