Leonidas M. Caucoto was born on January 16, 1906, in Tarabaca, Chile. He arrived in the United States on May 12, 1960, flying into Miami, Florida. He gave his nationality as Peruvian.
Leonidas lived for a time at 14246 Sanford Avenue in Flushing, Queens, New York. He died in January 14, 1991, at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, and was buried on Hart Island.
