Kenneth N. Nunes was born September 29, 1901, in New York, the son of Julius and Etta Nunes. Julius was a native of Jamaica, and Etta a native New Yorker. Kenneth appeared to be an only child, and he later stated that he had completed four years of college. The family lived in Manhattan, and in 1920 gave their address as St. Nicholas Place.
Sometime prior to 1930, Kenneth married Helen L., and they made their home in the Bronx. Around 1931 they had a son named Geoffrey. By 1935 they lived in Manhattan, and in 1936 they were established in New Rochelle, where they lived at least through 1952. Kenneth is also recorded as living in Teaneck, New Jersey and on East 23rd Street in New York City. Kenneth was a printing salesman, and by 1940 gave his job description as "executive."
Kenneth Nunes died on April 7, 1987, at Beth Israel Medical Center, and was buried on Hart Island.
