Jeffrey Stade passed away on August 27th 2019 at age 66. He was a quintessential New Yorker and lived most of his like in Far Rockaway,Queens,and the Gravesend section of Brooklyn. He lived with his mother, Arline Seager, for most of his life and in an apartment they shared together in Brooklyn. Arline passed away on March 19th 2018 at age 93, Jeffrey was a good son and veritable poor soul. Taking his mother shopping to Dollar Tree and the supermarket regularly and preparing her lunch and dinner daily in her later years. An only child,he enjoyed going for walks at Plumb Beach and sitting at the tables by the parking lot and chatting with the daily regulars and his friend Bob from the neighborhood. His good friend was also Bobby King and he loved musicals and the old classic movie theaters in Brooklyn from another era in New York City history. Jeffrey was a witty,kind and gentle soul with a great sense of humor. One of his favorite spots was Ty's Bar in the village on Christopher Street,there since 1972. He was a well known and well liked patron there since the disco 70's! He was buried on Hart Island (Potter's Field) on March 26th 2020. May he now rest in peace and closure be granted to those who knew and loved him during his lifetime.
