This is Jean-Jaques Mare. It's awful to know he ended up here. We looked for him for a long time, his family looked for him. Privacy laws prevented us from getting information about his whereabouts. At the same time his sister in law from south africa traveled to nyc to find him, he was still alive but died shortly after.One year after the start of our search we were informed he died.No information about where or how or what happened to his body.Two years ago a friend heard about the Hart island project. This is how she found out he was buried here. The tracing above is from a photo i have.May he rest in peace.
