As far as I can tell, James Spina was the son of Rosa Spina, who came to NY from Italy. In 1920, James had several siblings, including Anthony, Camello, Joseph, Josephine, and Albert. The family lived at 96 E 142nd Street in the Bronx. James reported that he had attended school recently and that he worked as a messanger for the railroads.
