Henerine Thompson

Henerine  also has a sister buried on potter field her name is Jeannette Jordan  and she passed 10/15/1981 Henerine birth last name was Cobbs 

Henerine has four living grandchildren two of which lives in NYC one in queens granddaughter named cheryl Jessie and grandson herbert Jessie Jr. Both children of Herbert Anderson. 

Henerine Louise Cobb was born 16 Jul 1919 in Jackson MS.  According to the 1940 Census, she was the daughter of William Cobb and Rosa A Luckett.   William was a farmer, Rosa a laundress.   In 1940,  when she is 20, Henerine is living with them and working as a housekeeper in a private home.  Also in the household is her 3-yr old son by George Anderson, Herbert Anderson, who was born Christmas Day, 1936.  

There is another possible story of Henerine's heritage. She may be the granddaughter of Massey and Mary Collins.  In the 1930 Census, in the Collins household of Vernon MS are four Thompson grandchildren, including "Henrine" (born abt 1919.)  This Henrine appears to have been the daughter of one of Massey Collins' five daughters.  Supporting the idea that Henrine is Henerine,  is Henerine Cobb's Social Security 1958 record in which she uses the name  "Henrine Thompson."   Also, both persons had the same birth year.

If this conjecture is true, Henerine never married, but used the maiden names Thompson and Cobb.   

Henerine died 4 Mar 1991 in Brooklyn NY.  She outlived her son Herbert by 11 years.

Ms Thompson is my grandmother.  She was my father's  mother. Unfortunately, my dad past when I was five years old and we never heard from her after that. I don't know much about her except that she was found deceased  in her home in Brooklyn, NY.  For years I searched for any information on her life and death. Due to her not being identified  by family at the time, I didn't get much information.
