George Tepfer was born in Brooklyn on April 19, 1910, the son of Samuel and Nettie Tepfer, both of Russia. Samuel was a polisher at a cabinet factory. George had several older siblings: Laurence, Seymour, Mary, Celia and Max. In 1940, he was living in Brooklyn with his father (widowed), older brother Laurence and Laurence's wife Vivian.
He lived in Miami and New York. His last known address was in Brooklyn, NY.
