Frank J. Pazceak (correct spelling Paszczak) was born on July 2, 1915 in New York.
On September 16, 1942 he enlisted as a private in the United States Army at Fort Jay on Governor's Island. He stated that he had completed grammar school, and his civil occupation fell in the category of "unskilled routeman." He was described at 65"tall, and weighed 163 pounds.
In December of 1942 Frank was stationed at the Raritan Arsenal in New Jersey working with ordinance. He was admitted to the hospital for a diagnosis of "hebephrenic dementia praecox", at that time considered a form of schizophrenia. He was discharged in February 1943 for disability, "not in line of duty, existed prior to entry into service."
By 1950 Frank was an inmate at the Dannemora State Hospital in Clinton County, New York. On October 25, 1960 he was able to claim Social Security benefits. His last residence was in Brooklyn.
Frank J. Paszczak died on July 23, 1988 at SUNY Downstate Medical Center at Bay Ridge. He was buried September 1, 1988 on Hart Island.
