Ettore Tisi was born October 8, 1903, and was named for his paternal grandfather. Born in Sigillo, Italy, he was the son of Catone and Anna T. (Panceri) Tisi. He came to the United States at the age of 17, on October 30, 1921, traveling on the S.S. Palermo, from Naples to New York City. His ultimate destination was Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where his father was already settled. Ettore was single, 5'5", with brown hair and brown eyes.
Prior to his death he made his home in Flushing, Queens, New York. Ettore Tisi died March 17, 1984, and is buried on Hart Island.
