Ellis Irene Bernhart (she went by her middle name) was born September 1st, 1931 in New York. She married Louis Stettner in 1953, and they lived together at 401 E 10th st and 854 7th ave. At some point after that, Louis left and remarried. Irene remained at the 7th ave address through the early 90s. Louis Stettner was a photographer, and this 1952 photo titled “Irene” is possibly this Irene. Rest in peace.
