I am so sad to have learned that Carol-Ann has been laid to rest in an annonymous place. She was my cousin. Her mother Ida Morgan (nee: Damato) and my father's mother, Rose Vigliante (nee: Damato), were sisters. Carol-Ann was the sweetest girl. She loved TV and cross word puzzles. She could recite Abbott and Costello's comedy routines by heart. I miss seeing her and my Aunt Ida all dressed up in their fur stoles at family events. I have learned that Carol-Ann's older half-brother, Joseph Canonico, is also buried at Hart Island. At least they are together in death. God's blessing to both of them. Both of my Aunt Ida's children were buried without any family around them. I hope that we may visit them one day.
