In Loving Memory of Angel Sanchez
Angel Sanchez was a loving father, devoted son, cherished brother, proud uncle, and loyal friend. Born in Puerto Rico, he later made his home in the Bronx, New York, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and meaningful connections.
Angel was a talented barber who took pride in his work and enjoyed making people feel good about themselves. More than anything, he was known for his kind heart, his generosity, and his unforgettable sense of humor. He had a way of making everyone laugh, and his smile could brighten even the hardest days. He was always there to support the people he loved, offering encouragement, kindness, and a listening ear.
I had the privilege of being raised with my uncle, and he was such an important part of my life. He wasn't just my uncle-he was someone I looked up to, laughed with, and loved deeply. The memories we shared are something I will always carry with me.
Although losing him has been incredibly painful, his love, his laughter, and the impact he made on our family will never be forgotten. Finding his resting place on Hart Island has been emotional, but creating this memorial is one way to honor his life and ensure that his story continues to be remembered.
Our family hopes that one day we will be able to bring Angel home, where he can rest surrounded by the love of those who have always carried him in their hearts.
