Alphonse Smilkshen

Alphonse Smilkshen is actually Alfon Smilkshen born on April 7, 1897 in Riga, Latwija, Russia.    He was a Seamen as per his immigration papers listed on Ancestry website.    He was living at 25 South Street, NYC back in  1924 on his immigration papers.   He was listed as not married, white, five foot six inches tall weight of 150 lbs.  He had brown hair and brown eyes.   His age at his first declaration is 22 years old.  His first papers were filed in Phildelphia, PA in 1918 where he was living at a Seamen's home.   It appears he was very well traveled as per the many listings of his ports of arrival and departures.  I didn't know him but I am happy I could find him.   At least now people will know he lived.   Rest In Peace Mrs. Smilkshen.
