Agnes married Magnus Bost (an Estonian immigrant) on January 23, 1930. They lived in Manhattan, New York where Magnus worked as a house painter. Later that year they had a son, Jack Bost, followed by Magnus dying on March 28, 1931.
On November 27, 1937 in Manhattan Agnes married for a second time, to Joseph Patrick Gowdy, an Irish immigrant from County Armagh. The couple, with Agnes' son Jack, lived at 338 E. 23rd Street in New York City, The 1940 census records this address as the "Olive Flop House," or hotel. Joseph Gowdy worked as the handyman or super while they lived there.
Agnes Gowdy's last residence was in Long Island City, Queens. She died on January 22, 1987 at NY Health and Hospitals/Color. She was buried March 19, 1987 on Hart Island.
