George Stoddard

This man was a very significant figure in the history of education--a former President of the University of Illinois, founder of the Hebrew Centre @ New York University, and a well-regarded scholar in the field.  See https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_D._Stoddard.  I wonder also if he is a relative.  My grandmother, Bessie Aletha Pearl Stoddard, was also from Iowa and married a Japanese entomologist, settling in Canada.  Could this have been Professor Dinsmore's link to the Imperial Court?  Perhaps his presence in Potter's Field can serve as a humbling reminder to all of us.
